The hardest sentence on this site belongs at the top of this page: there is no Australian body with jurisdiction to make an offshore casino pay you. No ombudsman, no tribunal, no licensing authority with a complaints function, because there is no Australian licence for one to attach to. Anybody who tells you otherwise is either selling something or describing a different market.
One thing to be clear about before any of the detail: this is an independent guide, not the operator. It takes no deposits, holds no balances, runs no games and cannot look up an account, release a payout or answer for anybody else’s terms. Everything below is read from records that are published and dated, so that where you need to act you can go straight to the body that can actually help.
What that leaves
Two routes, and it is worth being precise about which does what. Your own bank can dispute a card transaction inside its scheme’s window and must give you a written outcome either way; that is the only route on this page that can move money back. The regulator takes reports about a service and can act on the service; that is the only route that changes anything for anybody else. Neither does the other’s job.
The site’s own lane is drawn first because it is where everybody starts, and it is worth using once: a single clear written message with everything in it, because engagement decays sharply after the first exchange. Ask, keep the reply, and set a date after which you go elsewhere. Do not spend three weeks in that lane.
Every route open to an Australian with a disputed casino payout, and the limit of each one.
| Route | What it can do | Time limit | What it cannot do |
|---|---|---|---|
| A card dispute | Recover the transaction amount | Your scheme’s window; ask now, not later | Recover winnings that were never paid |
| Your bank fraud team | Investigate and answer in writing | The sooner the better | Compel a foreign operator |
| The operator’s own support | Reverse its own decision | None, and no obligation | Be held to anything it says |
| A report to the regulator | Act on the service itself | Any time | Recover your money |
| A gambling ombudsman | Nothing here | n/a | None has jurisdiction over an offshore service |
| A review site posting | Warn other readers | n/a | Bind anybody to anything |
What each route can realistically reach
It is worth setting expectation against reality, because the gap is where most of the frustration in this subject lives. People expect the regulator to be the powerful route and the bank to be the administrative one, and for recovering money it is the other way round.
The card dispute reaches furthest because it acts on your own money at your own institution, which has an obligation to you and a process with a deadline. The regulator report reaches almost nothing for you personally and quite a lot for everybody else — 1,154 addresses blocked since November 2019 and around 220 services withdrawn from the Australian market since 2017 came from reports like it. Both are worth doing; they are simply not interchangeable, and the reporting page sets out exactly what the second one involves.
Before you contact anybody
Every figure on this page was read on 31 August 2026: the regulator’s blocked-address list downloaded whole and counted, registry records pulled for each address carrying the name, and four pages trading under it rendered in a browser. None of it is permanent. Addresses lapse and are replaced, a bonus page is rewritten overnight and a game count changes when somebody edits a template. Treat what follows as a dated snapshot rather than a standing description, and re-run anything that would cost you money.
Get the evidence together first, because parts of it expire — the evidence page lists what to capture and in which order. Establish which gate the payout actually failed at, from the rejection page, because “wagering not complete” and “no reason given” are completely different complaints. If the request is still sitting there rather than refused, the pending page comes first. And if any of this has stopped being about one payout, the safer gambling page lists the supports that do not need anybody’s cooperation.
