Nearly every safer-gambling control an Australian is told about assumes the operator is licensed here. On an offshore casino that assumption fails, and the useful question becomes a narrower one: which controls work from your side, with no cooperation required from anybody. There are five of them, and they are the substance of this page.
If gambling has stopped being a choice, help does not depend on where the site is. Gambling Help Online answers on 1800 858 858, 24 hours a day, every day, free and confidential. the National Debt Helpline is on 1800 007 007 for the money side of it, and Lifeline on 13 11 14 at any hour. None of the three needs the operator to cooperate, which is exactly why they are the ones named here.
Why the national register stops short
BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register is the Australian self-exclusion register, and it is free, national and permanent for the term you choose. What it covers is the part people miss: it reaches every licensed Australian online and phone gambling provider, which is exactly the set an offshore casino is not in. An offshore casino has no obligation to consult it and no mechanism to be told about it, so a BetStop registration does not close an account on one. The control that does work from your side is a bank block: most Australian banks can put a gambling block on a card from inside their own app.
Five of the six nodes in that diagram reach you regardless of where a site is, and the sixth is the one people are usually pointed at first. That is not a criticism of the register — within its scope it is excellent, free and permanent — it is a description of a scope that stops precisely where an offshore casino begins. Knowing that in advance saves somebody the experience of registering and then finding an account still open.
Every control worth knowing about, sorted by whether it needs anybody else to agree to it.
| Control | Who has to cooperate | Cost | Reaches an offshore site |

How far each one actually reaches
It is worth seeing the coverage gap rather than reading about it, because “self-exclusion” sounds like the strongest control on the list and in this context is the weakest.
A card block reaches every merchant your card can pay, which is all of them. A helpline reaches you with no site involved at all. The register reaches every licensed Australian provider and, by definition, nothing else. Two full rings and one empty one, and the empty one is the control most commonly recommended.
The Australian rule is narrow and it is worth reading exactly. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (No. 84 of 2001) makes it an offence to provide a regulated interactive gambling service to somebody physically present in Australia. The prohibition falls on the provider, not on the player - the Act creates no offence for an individual who gambles - and the Australian Communications and Media Authority enforces it rather than issuing permits under it. That is why no Australian online casino licence exists, for this brand or for anybody else: there is no application to make and no register to appear in.
If the reason you are here is money
Every figure on this page was read on 31 August 2026: the regulator’s blocked-address list downloaded whole and counted, registry records pulled for each address carrying the name, and four pages trading under it rendered in a browser. None of it is permanent. Addresses lapse and are replaced, a bonus page is rewritten overnight and a game count changes when somebody edits a template. Treat what follows as a dated snapshot rather than a standing description, and re-run anything that would cost you money.
A disputed payout and a gambling problem are different situations and they need different pages. For the first, the complaints page has the two routes that exist and the evidence page has what to capture before it disappears. For the second, the numbers above work today and do not depend on any of it being resolved. If both apply, do the bank block first: it is the one action that helps in either case. For the wider picture of what is and is not true about this brand in Australia, the status page is the place to start, and reporting the service is the step that helps somebody other than you. If the payout was refused rather than merely slow, the rejection page names the gate that stopped it, and the pending page covers the case where nothing has been decided at all.
